"Lucifer" was originally just a Christian and Jewish term, which appeared in "Isaiah" chapter 14, verse 12, meaning "bright star", which was used to insinuate Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon. After being spread in later generations, he became a fallen angel in Christianity, although it is not clear when he started to personify Lucifer.
Although the image of Lucifer's fallen angel has been determined to be a misrepresentation, some people still prefer to see Lucifer as a character, not just a simple word, "Lucifer" is the name of an angel.
Lucifer is Satan before the fall. There is also a relatively rare saying that Lucifer's brother is Michael.
